Hey guys! So this week our "tangible evidence" is that we went down to the office and talked to a couple people and got the forms that we need to apply for making a mural in the school. So now we plan to work on our design and application and hand it in by the end of the month. We also walked around the school for a while and looked at place we would want to put our mural in and found some good spots and took pictures of it to put in our application as well. Our learning targets are really to just understand the impacts of recycling and how it can benefit marine life and the earth in generally. I also would like to talk about the topic of how art can be used to send a message to to others. Our driving questions were:

1. Who would we have to talk to in order to get permission to place the mural in the school or if all else fails, Mr. Heidt's room?

2. Will the elementary school be able to participate in the bottle cap collection and if so, how could we get them involved?

3. In what way can we maximize the amount of bottle caps collected in a short amount of time?

I can use these questions and my driving ideas like recycling and art to help write my research paper.
