Welcome to my week number two blog! Surprisingly enough (you won't believe this) I already have an idea of what I'm going to do for my project and who I'm going to do it with. So I am gonna work with Sara and Gigi and we are gonna make a mural!!! So it started because we were all talking about how we thought that our projects weren't really that interesting to us last year and that we wanted to do something really fun for us to this year. And we were looking online for cool ideas and on one website it said paint a mural. Like at first we were all like "we suck at art we couldn't paint for our lives", but then I remembered this really awesome place in Philly called The Magic Gardens and its this big maze-like thing that's floor to ceiling covered in murals made of bottles and plastic and glass. So then I was like well we don't have to be super good at painting we could just do something of that sort. Now we think we might set up like a bin at school where kids can bring in water bottles and glass cans and we can use that for our mural and make our project about the importance of recycling and preventing pollution. We also plan to go into Philly to the Garden and on a tour Sara found that goes on a bus around the city to see different art pieces on buildings to get a feel for how we want to do this and get some ideas. So this time I'm actually excited about this! We already went online and looked at train and tour schedules and started to plan out what exactly we would do. Next we are probably gonna find out where we are gonna make the mural (like if it will be in the school or somewhere else) and how to do it. That's all we've come up with this week, here are some pics of the Magic Garden so you can see how pretty it is....
