My group was allegory, and when we were deciding to do our project we were originally going to do a power point. A little into making the presentation, we decided that this idea was too boring and decided to brainstorm other plans. We finally decided to make an instagram account based on Salman Rushdie's past and hidden meanings in the text. We really liked this project because it was different from what anyone else had done or were doing. I've never done any project like this in the past either, and it was fun to look at the book from a modern day social media perspective as well and interpret the book into something Rushdie would say on social media. I thought it was frustrating having to organize the posts because the site we chose was slightly difficult to keep organized. Once it was finished, it really looked nice and it was convienient to have all of our information in one account. I think that my project was beautiful because of the time spent matching all the filters and making the account generally "pretty". The strongest part of my project was that it was definetly relevant. Social media is a huge deal today and my group involved the modern idea in our project. Lastly, I believe my project was poignant and unique because I have never seen one like it and people will remember it because of that reason. The one thing I wish we could have improved on in our project would have been the use of our classmates for characters, that's what I would do to make the project more funny and important to them.
